Lady Liberty SA

Know About us

We are a non-governmental organization

Since inception, Lady Liberty SA has impacted over 1000 women, pro bono, between the ages of 16 years – 59 years by providing legal information to them in different Gauteng-based townships such as Alexandra, Soweto, Lenasia, Westbury and Diepsloot. Previously, working in collaboration with the Soul City Health Institute for Health and Development Communication (SCIHDC), we provided legal information to young women between 16 years to 25 years in the Eastern Cape, Pretoria, Free State and Mpumalanga.

Since 2022, in partnership with the US Embassy’s American Corner Pretoria (ACP), and the City of Tshwane, Lady Liberty extended its legal workshops around Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) to advocacy partners, law enforcement, academics, NPOs and other interested stakeholders. The evolution of Lady Liberty, from offering only legal services to a holistic wellness approach, has seen the addition of AIF Development Partners and Nedbank CIB (Corporate & Investment Banking) as new partners for the support of women’s economic empowerment through entrepreneurship.
