Lady Liberty SA

About Us

We are a Non-Profit Organisation (NPO)

Since inception, Lady Liberty SA has impacted over 1000 women between the ages of 16 years – 59 years by providing legal information pro bono.We worked in different Gauteng-based townships such as Alexandra, Soweto, Lenasia, Westbury and Diepsloot. Through a collaboration with the Soul City Health Institute for Health and Development Communication (SCIHDC), we also provided legal information to young women between 16 years to 25 years in the Eastern Cape, Pretoria, Free State and Mpumalanga.

Lady Liberty has evolved from offering only legal information and services, to a holistic wellness approach, which includes emotional, psychological, physical, spiritual and financial wellness.

With this organisational evolution, new partnerships have come and include the US Embassy American Corner Pretoria (ACP), and the City of Tshwane. Lady Liberty has extended its legal workshops around Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) to advocacy partners, law enforcement, academics, NPOs and other interested stakeholders.

In addition, AIF Development Partners and Nedbank CIB (Corporate & Investment Banking) are proud new partners and focus on providing economic empowerment to our women; mainly through entrepreneurship.
