Sam Nobubele Mkandhla

Driven by a deep-seated passion to fight for justice and empower African women, Sam Nobubele Mkandhla an Attorney admitted to practice law in South Africa and Zimbabwe, founded Lady Liberty SA to extend access to justice to marginalized women and children in 2014.

Sam holds an LLM, Master of Laws, specialising in Public Law, from the University of Cape Town (UCT). She is also a philanthropy advisor, speaker, trainer and dialogue facilitator, with previous clients including The Obama Foundation (Leadership), Red Bull Amaphiko (Entrepreneurship) and GEN Africa: 22 ON SLOANE. Her focus is governance, contracts, partnerships, technology and leadership in Africa.

Sam is an Archbishop Desmond Tutu Fellow, L’Oréal Paris “Women of Worth” Honoree, #InspiringFiftySA 2018 ‘Women in STEM’ winner, and US Embassy International Visiting Leader (IVLP). She currently serves as a Non-Executive Board Member of Save The Children South Africa, Dinaledi and Lady Liberty SA.
